An indicator shows when the purification process is complete. Tests conducted according to the U.S. EPA&#8217;s Guide Standard for Water Purifiers show a 99.999% reduction or &gt;5-log reduction. Cryptosporidium is a chlorine-resistant parasite.  <\/p>\n<p>The risk of microplastics has also been investigated. In the tests conducted, we have not seen any elevated levels of microplastics in connection with the use of Solvatten. <\/p>\n<p>Solvatten&#8217;s ability to treat water while reducing the need for energy and fuel has also been reviewed and is continuously verified by an independent third party according to Gold Standard methodology.<\/p>\n<p><em>Note: Solvatten does not remove minerals such as salt or chemical contaminants.
