Women\u2019s Forum in Rome focus on inequality<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

As a part of Italy\u00b4s G7 Group agenda, an international conference focusing on the role of women and sustainable development was\u00a0held April 7th-8th. There were\u00a0four thematic workgroups:<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

\u2022 Investing in girls\u2019 economic empowerment: closing the gender gap to foster growth
\u2022 Women, health and science
\u2022 Social inequalities and the future of democracy
\u2022 Women and girls on the move: refugees, migration and integration<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Economic Empowerment for Girls<\/strong><\/p>

Petra Wadstr\u00f6m participated and contributed with her expertise on addressing economic empowerment for girls. Solvatten is internationally well known to help women and families improve their health and prosperity. At the workshop there was a focus on new technologies and the future of jobs.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Other measures<\/strong><\/p>

Digital education can also be a tool for empowering girls, and also how economic measures\u00a0\u00a0can be used to close the gender pay gap in markets. Representatives from WE\u2010Women Empower the World; Ministry of Foreign Affairs, IKEA, Brussels and the United States participated.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

\u201cI am very honored to be invited to participate in this important international forum. It is imperative that we create joint initiatives across the world to promote women\u00b4s opportunities for a sustainable lifestyle. Solvatten\u00a0has always worked with the goal in mind of providing hot, safe and clean water to millions of families throughout the world.
