Give more people access to safe water

Everything starts with safe water. Get on board and make sure that more people have access to it. Solvatten’s mission is to provide people in developing countries with safe and hot water. We do this by providing a portable water treatment solution that heats and treats water when exposed to natural sunlight - 100% environmentally-friendly and safe. By making a donation today, you'll help send Solvatten units to families in need.

Tracking Your Impact from Giving to Receiving

Your donation will directly benefit families living without clean water and with low or no access to grid electricity. We work together with local organisations in countries such as Kenya and Uganda who focus on water and improved access to hygiene (WASH+) at the local level. This strengthens our impact even further.

Solvatten in numbers

Right now, Solvatten is being used in more than 20 countries around the world, improving life for more than 400,000 people. It's a solution proven to benefit women and children especially, who often carry the heaviest load in households in regions where infrastructure is poor.

54 million workdays are freed up each year. For a family, that is 3 hours per day.

3 billion liters of water have been treated by Solvatten, simply enabled by natural solar disinfection.

Half a million tons of CO2e won’t be released, thanks to the reduced need to boil and heat water with firewood and charcoal.

Solvatten is a Winner of UNFCCC’s Momentum for Change - LightHouse Award. This highlighted Solvatten's contribution to UN SDGs by creating new methods for energy-efficiency and their contribution of clean water to the people most exposed to climate change. It is about eradicating poverty, protecting our land and ensuring prosperity and a sustainble future for all.

"Solvatten is one of the brightest examples of climate solutions that are making a real difference"

Chiristiana Figueres
Former UNFCCC Executive Director
