A Shift Partnership for Deeper Impact
We’re proud to announce a new partnership between Solvatten and We Effect — a collaboration rooted in equity, climate resilience, and community-led development.
At the heart of this partnership is a shared belief: access to basic services (e.g. clean water) shouldn’t be determined by geography, gender, or income. Together, we aim to challenge the deeper structures that limit opportunity — especially for rural women — and support systems that foster dignity, health, and self-determination.
Solvatten’s solar-powered water treatment kits offer a practical solution with wide-reaching impact:
But what excites us most is what we’ll learn through this partnership.
We Effect brings deep experience in feminist, power-aware development, with tools and frameworks that go far beyond counting “units delivered.” Their approach helps us track real social change — shifts in norms, power relations, and community agency. Their FRAS+ equity model ensures resources are allocated first to women and marginalised groups. And their civil society networks — including farmer unions and women’s cooperatives — offer pathways to embed Solvatten in places where it can drive both practical improvements and long-term, community-driven change.
For us, this partnership is about transformation. Solvatten becomes more than a product — it becomes a platform for collaboration, climate action, and collective learning.
We’re just getting started. If you’re working in the WASH sector, or is interested in rural development, gender equality, or climate justice, we’d love to connect at hello@solvatten.org.
