SFS launches strategic partnership

On the occasion of today’s World Water Day, SFS Group announces its new strategic partnership.

In our journey towards a sustainable future, every detail matters. At Solvatten, we’ve always believed in the power of innovation guided by principles of sustainability and durability. From the inception of our idea, we’ve strived to create a product that not only minimizes harm to the environment but also delivers long-lasting benefits to communities worldwide. Today on World Water Day 2024, we’re proud to announce a significant step forward in our mission, made possible through a strategic partnership with SFS.

By joining forces with a global leader in precision engineering, we’re able to scale our impact and reach communities on a larger scale. This collaboration not only amplifies our efforts in Uganda but also opens doors to new opportunities in other regions facing similar challenges. Together, we’re proving that innovative solutions can address some of the world’s most pressing issues.

Innovation begins with the smallest of details, especially when it comes to materials selection. Our partnership with SFS exemplifies this commitment to precision and quality. Together, we’ve identified the need for fasteners that are not only lightweight and corrosion-resistant but also built to last. By leveraging SFS’s expertise in precision tooling, we’re ensuring that every Solvatten -kit we deliver has been assembled to the highest standards of quality and longevity.

We are proud to have found a great partner in Solvatten, with whom we share our values and goals. The positive effects of this collaboration are extensive: on the one hand, we are reducing CO₂ emissions with the Solvatten-Kits®. On the other hand, we give disadvantaged people – especially women – who spend a lot of their time looking after clean drinking water, more time to invest in their education,” says Jens Breu, CEO of SFS.

“We’re thrilled to announce that SFS has extended its support to our mission. With their knowledge, technology, and grant assistance, we’re expanding our reach and impact, starting with our project in Uganda. This partnership marks a milestone in our journey, and we’re excited to see the positive change it will bring to communities in need. We invite other organizations and foundations to join us in this important cause, to reduce emissions and promote the use of our purest source, our sun to treat and heat water.” Petra Wadström, Founder of Solvatten.

SOCIO-ECOLOGICAL IMPACT IN UGANDA 2024
In 2024, thanks to this partnership, 636 families in Uganda refugee settlements, will experience life-changing benefits. These families, often traumatized by climate-related migration, natural disasters, conflicts, and social unrest, will now have access to safe, clean, and hot water directly at a household. By reducing the need for expensive medical treatments related to waterborne and hygiene transmittable disease this partnership is estimated to help families also save and improve their household economy. In effect these families are being equipped with a tool to lift from poverty. We urge more stakeholders to join us in our mission, make a change and create a more sustainable future for all. Whether through partnership, support, or advocacy, Your contribution can help us achieve our shared goal of a healthier, greener future for all.
